14-28 Vandy at the half. ODU gets the ball at the beginning of the 2nd half.

Does Bobby Wilder understand anything about ball control football? I mean really our defense is on the field 45 out of every 60 minutes. No wonder they suck. On our last scoring drive, when we get to the 10 yard line, and it's first down, how about running the ball if for nothing else to bleed some time. The defense is playing OK. Its Bobby Wilder who sucks!

TD--ODU. Fighting back despite the refs and biased announcers.

I'm sorry I guess I should of introduced myself before making such a post, but you see I've been lurking on this site and the zone for years and I'm not to impressed with coach Wilder right now. I am from Maine and I went to high school (another school) at the same time as Bobby Wilder, He was a huge story in the state at that time. He had several big-time offers and decided to stay at home, so I have a lot of respect for him. I just wonder if he is the guy that can do it at this level? I am more than willing to give him some time, but I swear to god I've seen him make some bone headed calls this year!!

Way too early to be calling for Wilder's head. Maybe if we flop on our face for the next few years. Maybe.

I agree, I'm just venting a little. But maybe just maybe, we should at least try to to run the ball every once in a while instead of pass, pass and pass some more... just a thought.

No apology necessary. A school going FBS needs an FBS quality coaching staff. It's just that simple. Were we still FCS Bobby would still be a big success. I say he deserves a big testimonial dinner, a gold watch, a huge thank you for resurrecting football at ODU and a map designating the best routes out of Hampton Roads.

Damn you suck at forming opinions. You always package them in the most tedious way possible; which I'm sure you think is clever.

Reading your posts is like walking through a cloud of fart air to reach a turd at the end.

Need a change at ODU. Vandy sucks, and unfortunately they pulled it together against you guys pretty intensely.

That's a bit premature. I mean, I guess it's flattering that you think a school with 6 years worth of football experience should be beating schools with far more experience/recruiting than we have at this point, but I think we deserve to get a full FBS roster before we start talking about changes and whatnot.

Yeah, a bit; by like at least two seasons. If ODU is in a position of not being bowl eligible toward the back half of 2016 it would be a more reasonable conversation to entertain. A lot of our fans have gotten spoiled, and frankly went a bit overboard with the dominant start up program narrative. A lot of that was due to BW building it up, but I don't blame him for trying to grasp any recruiting advantage he could.

ODU fans were told by many that the jump to the CAA would be very difficult, and after making two FCS playoffs, and finishing atop the conference in 2012 that was proven wrong. In contrast, the jump from FCS to FBS is proving to be much more difficult than many thought it would. Those two move ups are nowhere near equal in degree of difficulty.

I think it would be VERY DETRIMENTAL to our football program to fire Bobby Wilder at this point. To me the suggestion borders on laughable. We just last year had the number two rated recruiting class in CUSA behind only Marshall. Most of the non-juco's brought in are red shirting this season. You cannot expect a HC to transition his team from full FCS to FBS without a good amount of difficulty and losses. This program will most likely improve rapidly, but for goodness sake some of us should look at the reality of the situation and exercise a bit of common sense and patience. 03-banghead

Some of us think that it will be VERY DETRIMENTAL to not rid ourselves of him and his staff.
