RE: ODU @ Vandy ( Game Thread)
Haha wow. One losing season and it's time to clean house. How long did it take for WKU to become competitive after they moved up? Look at the dumpster fire that is Georgia State. App State is also having growing pains. Sure Georgia Southern is doing well, but they have the luxury of running an offense that is difficult to stop in a league that is not as tough as CUSA. Outside of the Marshall game, ODU has been in and often had chances to win every game they've lost. Most of the players recruited for FBS aren't even playing yet! Have some patience!

Holy geez people.
Fire the whole staff from ONE losing season? In a transition year nonetheless? You people are crazy.

Yes, it is a crazy overreaction. To be fair though I have only seen the idea mentioned by one or two ODU posters.

RE: ODU @ Vandy ( Game Thread)
I've been extremely critical of our D lately, but haven't called for any coaching changes yet. Just wondering why Vanderbilt was twice as successful against our D as they were against Charleston Southern. That pretty much mitigates any FCS/FBS recruit/transitioning excuses. O_U has a pathetic defense regardless of the level.

Let's let this thread die and keep this discussion on our board, in one place, shall we?

I am from Maine and I went to high school (another school) at the same time as Bobby Wilder, He was a huge story in the state at that time. He had several big-time offers and decided to stay at home, so I have a lot of respect for him. I just wonder if he is the guy that can do it at this level? I am more than willing to give him some time, but I swear to god I've seen him make some bone headed calls this year!!
No apology necessary. A school going FBS needs an FBS quality coaching staff. It's just that simple. Were we still FCS Bobby would still be a big success. I say he deserves a big testimonial dinner, a gold watch, a huge thank you for resurrecting football at ODU and a map designating the best routes out of Hampton Roads.
I love being a gal ahead of her time.
