Kent State Roll Call
Weather looks to be as good as you could ask for in November. High of 60 and no rain.

Who is going?

Think I am making the trek out, gonna be a long day at work Wednesday though

What a lousy friend you are - helping your friends not miss class. Haha

No longer buying football season tickets largely due to these mid-week November games. Not worth maintaining the Jambulance year-round either for a handful of Saturday games. Really has ruined the fan experience in the MAC.

+1 We no longer purchase season tickets, either, after many years. I agree that the fan experience has been ruined.

This season, we only have 1 mid-week game at home, against BG. The rest are on the road. We are supporting the university with our season tickets. I will not change.

The Schedule for November is AWFUL!!!!!!!! Even the only home game is hard to attend for the locals much less the out of towners.

Hate MACtion or whatever it is.....

I say go AMERICANtion!!!!! or anywhere but here.

I really love going to the games with the family, kids, tailgating, etc. On a weekend we slightly bend the rules with the kids and let them stay out longer, but on a weeknight, it's tough to keep an elementary kid out till 11 p.m. and expect them to be ready for school in the morning. I usually end up taking a buddy or we find a sitter for the kids and my wife goes. Not being with my family for the games has taken some of the luster off for me.

There are other ways to support the university and we have chosen to increase our giving in another way to make up for football. Support goes two ways. MACtion is not fan friendly.

This has been a really good home schedule for me. I'd have been foolish not to buy season tickets.

Agree with Ron here in regards to support of our university !! 04-cheers
The Rockets actually had 5 out of 7 home games on Saturday, with 4 played during the warmer months. Not crazy about MACtion in November, but if the conference/ESPN insists on this scheduling, then showcase some of the other MAC schools. The UT brand is out there nationwide, we don't need more than one midweek game...

RE: Kent State Roll Call
I'm not sure what it is, but I've lost my desire to make the long drive down to Toledo to go to a game and then hike back home to arrive around 12:30 or 1 am. Went to one game last year - and have been to all the home games this year, but will not be going to the BG game. 8pm start, on TV - so it will be over around 11:30 or midnight, then drive back home and get there around 1:30am. Freeze your a$$ off during the game on top of it and run the possibility of ending up with a cold. Would love to do it every time, but I really think desire left a few years ago after that 63-60 debacle against NIU. Have never been so pi$$ed after a home loss - except maybe to Miami in 2003.

Sounds like a good football game!!

You know, I was just thinking the other day--have we entered an era where strong local attendance has been permanently traded for wider national exposure through ESPN and streaming? I'm not sure which benefits UT athletics the most, but if this is the case then there is little point in discussing stadium expansion. The Glass Bowl will go the way of Savage--modernized with a face lift, but not expanded.

Is this the new reality?

6 home games, 5 of them on Saturdays, 4 of them before then end of September, yep this year's schedule really sucked.

7 home games next year, yep that sucks too.

Could you imagine all the pissing and moaning on this board if the Rockets were playing tonight, on Halloween, God forbid. Yet there are at least 2 college games tonight and none of them include teams from the MAC.

This year's schedule was great compared to last year's (1 home game in September, 3 in November, ughh).

7 home games next year, eh? I didn't know that. Cool. (As long as we don't have 4 of them in November.)

I bring my grandkids to the games. I live in Hillsdale. Can't bring them on week days. Can't stand Friday night games. They should be outlawed. Leave Fridays for the high schools. Missed one home game in the past ten yrs or so. It was the the fog out. Wish I could have been there to not see it.
