For those who didn't understand how a Detroiter was involved in a murder in Ypsilanti these sentences pretty well indicates the links:

"Taylor, of Ypsilanti, is the cousin of Kristopher Pratt, the 20-year-old Detroit man who admitted to fatally shooting Reed, a teammate of the former Eagles." and.

"Taylor testified in January that he lived in the University Green apartments, the same place where Reed lived and died."
