The fact that there are top 20 rated teams with a recuiting class never in the top 25, and there are teams with losing records that have consistent top 25 classes.... shows the evaluation process is slightly flawed.

I like where we are now and the prospects for our future!!!

And Stammers, I have told most of those people repeatedly what happened.... they refuse to listen!!! Wonder why that is?!??!

I remember distinctly how we were in on a lot of highly rated players and everyone was excited, but we didn't land any of them. You wonder how things would have worked out if we had an IPF, new weight room and Tiger Lane, back then.

I disagree completely. Any coach who brings our program from the depths we've been to Top 25 for a year or two will definitely have other opportunity come his way.. Hell, getting us just to .500 is a huge accomplishment in itself.

Amazing a stoner can grasp things all the recruiting experts on this board miss- Stars mean nothing, without player development. -ask Pastner.

RE: Fuente and the future
We have 15 recruits. There's quite a few higher rated players that we are in on that haven't chosen.
There's still tons of 3* recruits available nationwide.
If Fuente signed a no star instead of a 3*, there's a very valid reason for it. Use your thinking cap.
Back to 15 recruits. This panic and complaining is akin to b!tching about Pastner in April or May because we only have landed 1 or 2 commits.

Also, let me point out that right now, the biggest diff in the listed recruiting classes and this year's is that the other years are completed-after signing day averages.
We are barely 1/2 way through this class.

Absurdity is key for the naysayers right now. This thread should be locked just for the sheer stupidity.

Need good size WRs 6 2" and above. Good speed , Hans , Separation .
OL always needs work. A nice stud RB (scat back) would be nice. Tigers lose a lot on D, so a lot of emphasis will be there. I think we are light years ahead in talent. Just takes time.

Ironically, I was just told if Mullen takes FL job, Fuente is on MSU long list. I'm sure it's so far down he'd never get a sniff.. and some of you can/will blow it off, but people are taking notice of the job he is doing here.

RE: Fuente and the future
Are we sure the guy who was raising a stink in that thread was not part of the "never shoulda fired West" camp or the "shoulda given Porter more time" camp?

You gotta have some type of agenda if you dont think Fuente is doing a great job with this program.

Mews has been around a long time, for some reason I'm thinking he was either one of the ones who thought West should not have been fired and would have set the world on fire if he had the resources we are putting into the program now, or one of the ones who thought we should have given Porter more time before pulling the plung on him.

The Henderson kid from South Panola which is a silent verbal will take care of the scat back!

We need bigger and more skilled OL and wide receivers!!
