I have an HP uses windows operating system,, Ive avoided the update (like it was ebola) to 8.1 until now, it's forcing itself on me like a drunken fratster at homecoming ( 11 am kickoff,, really ???)
anyway to opt out completely ?
AND more importantly ,, I have the chance to get a 15 minute RICE OWLS wrap up segment every week on radio. Just need sponsors .
Are any of you successful and own a legit business that might want to advertise?

Yes. Go to the Apple store and get yourself an iMac or Macbook Pro with Retina. This will eliminate the need to ever have to submit to a Windows update again (unless you make it dual boot and install Windows).

I recently replaced Windows XP with Ubuntu (a Linux OS) on my personal laptop.
I'm glad I took the leap. The learning curve is steep in some respects but surprisingly non-existent in others. I partitioned the hard drive so that I can boot up in XP if I need to.
