We've actually won a few home openers, including last year vs Detroit. We're 0-13 in 'season' openers though. Time to do something about that. Welcome back TigerEye. Thanks for the great setups during the season.

someone on the radio at 8am on 56WHBQ was putting out incorrect information that the Grizzlies had never won the home opener ...

I can't believe we've lost to the Timberwolves so many times.

We've done pretty well the last five seasons or so against them, but when they had KG, they dominated the early years of the Grizz in Memphis. Vancouver was 4-20 against the T'Wolves. In Memphis we're 27-22.

The wolves have a bunch of talent, mostly young guys. They played pretty well in the pre-season.

Leuer is a good shooter. We don't have any playmakers on our second unit to get him open looks. Need Calathes back.

Grizz hang on to win 105-101. Gasol with a career high 32. Z-Bo 25. Not sure we can count on over 50% of the scoring coming from these two guys but it was nice tonight.

And 95 of the 105 points from the starters. Bench obviously needs to play better moving forward.

Bench has started slow most seasons for the Grizz. I think in the end the bench well get a rhythm and be fine especially when calathes gets back.

Also tonight I hope those who didn't like the Vince Carter signing saw what his value week mean this season. No he didn't have a great game, but he brings that respect value with officials late in a game, which I think well become bigger and bigger for the Grizz as the season goes along

Agreed. Great call by Joerger to sub him in and get the ball in his hands.
