Hard not to pick them.

The fan base feels this is their year.

I always wanted to feel that about ualr. Not, this is our year, our year to be 3rd.....

This might be our year, but I want to see us play before I say that.

I would pick UTEP over Tech, but Tech is a good choice too. Neither of those are a bad pick. Charlotte will be tough as well.

I think Harper is close to having us where he wants to get us as well.

See what happens when you have a coach that can win and build something. I've been to games at Tech(my wife is a grad)and they wouldn't have over a thousand there. This was eight/ten years ago. It can happen. Can it happen here? Not without a coaching change it won't and if they can bring in the right coach that can recruit, coach, and has charisma. It doesn't matter what kind of year we have this year or next year, the folks who have left under Shields won't be back. Twelve years of mediocrity has soured a bunch of fans, and while Steve is a nice guy, that old nice guy **** won't cut it any longer.

Utep will have to travel more distance than any other them in the conference. That will add up.

It added up on tech their last year in the wac.

I will be interested to see how tech does with appleby back he was out all of the last of the season and return for a couple pf games but was about 60% imo.

Cusa has a few ncaa torny teams that can win a game or more in the tournament. Its a good move for tech, wku and the others that are their now.

Now that we have a Tech thread up and running, let's start one for IU. Anyone else want to talk about their own alma maters? Then, we can get back to talking Trojan hoops.

We will probably post a SLU thread too.
