This.
Is it the most important thing? Absolutely not. However, this is a customer service business, and how one handles stuff, even stuff some people think is stupid, can be telling.
Didn't we hear about how Jiff pissed off the Nagle family regarding their sizable donation? It is a people business.
And, since we know Athletics reads this board, and in fact, posts to it, they could provide the other side and complete the discussion right now. It isn't an conspiracy. Just post the other side (HuskieOne, is it) and case closed, right? Get on with important stuff?

Your AD picked a bad venue for something like this. That being said, I like him a lot!

I can't believe I'm asking this, but,
What happened with the dog in the first place? I really don't know.

The sky box extension is brilliant and needs to be done then a horseshoe.
JY and Barsema both told me to my face they wanted to start all over and I think they still feel that way. Buy Sargent pharm stock now folks!!! We need a stadium.
When we leave the MAC the people will come ray people will come.
Share price has almost doubled since the end of January..currently at its highest point ever.

It does seem we're only getting part of the story. Is it a huge deal, no. But it doesn't make sense if what we've heard so far is true.
And really, if they upgrade the stadium somewhat, is that important in the grand scheme of things either? Not really. Nothing stated on this board is going to change my life dramatically.

FYI it wont be on ESPN3.com but all alumni will be getting an e-mail of the video of the press conference announcement after it is completed.

Limiting Diesel's on field access is not an issue. I don't believe he should have access. He is retired. We thanked him for his service, but his time has passed. The issue is, when he is invited to a Homecoming game to participate and then is not allowed to run the field, that becomes poor judgement. If you can trot out every band, flag, silverette and cheerleading alum out on the field on that day, then why not diesel? I don't think he should have unlimited access, but on that day. Yes, open your arms and give him whatever he's capable of doing.

Did you see Diesel at the Orange Bowl? He's a rock star. A fan favorite. And it's 1 dog, with 1 owner. Also, we've had multiple dogs at games in the past. He should have access. Anyway, this is still off the subject of the thread so I'll leave it at that.

I really hate this topic, but I agree we are only getting one side of the story. Here is NIUCheerDad's reply.
Quote:Diesel got the OK this afternoon about 45 minutes after I talked to HuskieBob. I was not worried and I know Athletics has a lot going on since this is homecoming weekend. No matter what Diesel was at least going to be tailgating and making his way around the tailgating area.
We need to give the Athletic Dept. a break here as it is very busy this time of year with homecoming and all the extra activities.
Also, Mission is a great Huskie so please give him time to get adjusted to his new role. We were all lucky with Diesel as he took to it right away without issues.
Just a FYi but Diesel will be tailgating with us for the rest of the home games. If you want to stop by and see him we are on the East Side or watch for us as we make our way around.
Also, I will be showing off my grandson. I am one proud grandpa
The only one making a big deal about this is the same poster that gets his rocks off everytime there is a topic that all (excluding this Dbag) Huskies fans are excited about.
