Everything that has happened so far seems to be in Memphis' favor. What's different about this?

cal is helping josh out on this one

FWIW, I hope I'm wrong - I think. I mean, the kid has talent, as a fan I'd love to have him. But what else comes along for the ride ?

Obviously Hamilton does. Which is apparently ok here at Memphis, and probably not ok at UK.

what "paper class" are they offering athletes who pretend to be students?

Interdisciplinary studies which is the same one we and the rest of the free world offer.

Interdisciplinary studies major actually requires completion of real classes. The paper classes at UNC were a mix of independent study courses that only required submission of one "paper" and classes that were not really classes at all and existed only on paper..Three completely different things.

This is just a learning experience for the next time Hamilton adopts an athletically gifted foreign kid.

Yeah, they are different things. However, it's still taking junk classes in order to get the minimum requirements to stay eligible/graduate. That degree will get you nowhere if basketball is out of the picture. Just not a good move to make unless you're a sure-fire pro. And even then it's still not the best idea.

Disagree. Many companies just want a degree. In anything.

Then there's this ... some of you were asking this I believe.

If Skal Labissiere gets his degree from a legit high school, why all the fuss (http://cbsprt.co/1xAyFn4 ) about what he does in his free time?

The more I gather on Skal Labissiere, the more unlikely SL will play college ball. http://bit.ly/1lCo35J

Those African American study classes were always peculiar to me. Why would African American's have to study about it? History and culture is important but what value would that add to your life? I knew it was a farce

I know you're kidding, but I just read a paper from one of 'those classes' that my friend, an African-American kid with a JUCO BB schollie wrote. I read it as his friend, and it was extremely well done. It was on the History of Harlem and was very informative.

RE: Skal Labissiere will be continuing his education at Reach Your Dream Prep Academy
The loons on Kentucky Rivals are chiming in. I wonder if this moron knows who was coaching at Memphis when our season was vacated?

"I said last year Skal will either end up at Ole miss, Memphis, or overseas. The highest bidder, literally, will get him. If he plays at Memphis next year they will forfeit another entire season, but memphis is the type of school that will do anything to try and win their first national title. I have always been ecstatic the 08 season was stripped and memphis didn't win the ship, because their school is nothing but thugs ran by thugs an they deserve anything but success. They really want skal to try and out together a top class with their bought and paid for family, the lawsons, but now they aren't even that stupid.

Cal, pull the Scholarship from Skal. If I were UK compliance, I would demand it.

I NEVER question cals recruiting, but this one will never suit up for UK. And the fact that he has an offer here is very troubling to me and it should be to everyone. Everyone here in memphis knows how dirty he is.

It would show a lot of intelligence by UK to publicly withdraw the scholarship. It would make us look like we are on top of these matters. continuing to recruit him only makes us look as dirty as memphis."

03-lmfao Tell us about how to run a clean program Kentucky fans.
