Hopefully it didn't get lost in the mail like all of UCONN's P5 invitations...

Army has zero interest in joining the AAC. It was a member of the Metro for a short time and pulled out.

Lure FSU and Clemson to be in opposite divisions. That should allow the rest of us to recruit better and draw more fans until we are a power conference and the ACC falls. Is that how this goes?

I was thinking more about the "western division". everybody keeps talking about Air Force and BYU...wouldn't Arizona and USC be better for us?

It was actually CUSA, but your point is valid.

RE: Invite Army
Some people are acting like this is the AAC's choice.

If Army wanted to join the AAC, then the AAC would admit them IMMEDIATELY. PERIOD.

The reason why Army isn't in the AAC is because Army doesn't want to be in the AAC (or any other league, for that matter).

Yes. and they were god awful.

I have to say though that going to see ECU and Army at WP was one of the best road trips I ever took. Army fans are simply the best..similar to Nebraska's. They applaud the oppositions good play.

RE: Invite Army
Since I like many dont believe the AAC will expand anytime soon, I wouldnt mind working out a scheduling agreement with Army and BYU. Army could do 4 games per year and rotate through the 12 AAC teams. (though they already play Navy) and we could push BYU for something like 6 games.

Army wont help our SOS, but I think what teams do is simply not schedule any FCS opponents that year.
