As for the game, I see this game coming down to the Tech D vs. WKU O. I expect Tech to run a lot of zone to slow down the slants and crossing routes. Tough to play man when the receiver is crossing the field. Zone blitz's will be critical to get pressure. A couple of turnovers will be critical. D will only give 21.

Our O will need to play better than the last 2 games. I think the O will score 42. Dixon goes for 100 and Henderson catches another long TD pass.

42-21 sounds about right.

This is gonna be a fun game. I hope Tech can pull it out and maintain control of the WEST.

I would be very surprised if we only scored 21 (which would be our lowest total of the year). I would also be very surprised if you only scored 42.

I will say Tech wins 52 - 48 in a shoot out. And just to keep with tradition, WKU will have a 10+ point lead at some point in the game.

Just curious, but what are best Defenses you have faced this year?

If you hold us to 21 points than I will give you guys major props.....I think we score at least 28, I will say though your defense looks like the most impressive on paper we have faced so far.....You are correct in that Dixon will have a field day, I am thinking of a 42-31 or 42-35 type score at end of the day....

Navy by far overall.....Other than that we have not really faced very good defenses this season...Illinois was the best in terms of getting to Doughty, other than that game he has barely been touched at all this season.....FAU did a great job 2nd half of getting pressure, but the first half we torched them..... I will say if you guys get any pressure on Doughty he will fold like a tent, our OL has been playing really well lately and all are young guys except for our Senior LT.....

WKU had double digit leads in every game they've lost. Can the Tech offense keep up in a shootout? I think Mr. Dixon might have a career day.

Ground game for LA Tech and keeping WKU off the field is the best game plan. I will put a 50/50 chance that pressure causes a short pass to go for a pick 6. If we get into a shootout the Bulldogs will have a tougher time.

Tech has faced 2 Top 50 offenses. WKU is 5th overall. That's what makes this such an intriguing match-up.

Yep. I think it will be a very intriguing match up given that each teams' strengths are opposing forces. OP said it best, it will come down to WKU offense vs. LA Tech defense.

this match-up reminds me of the 2012 Tech vs Utah State match-up. We were like WKU in 2012, all O no D. We lost to a more balanced Utah State team with very good D.

add 14 at a minimum to that.

subtract 10 at a minimum from that and you will have western's score.

so.....if you've scored 42 in a game add the 14+ now subtract 10+.

Tech should have beaten USU in 2012 in regulation and then OT. I am pretty sure WKU has not faced a D like ours yet. I am more worried about our O than WKU's O. If we lay a egg in the first half like the last 2 games, we may be behind big time. Our O doesnt turn the ball over we win easy.

Techs D is very impressive this year. I dont see how the D falls apart and gives up more than 21.

Both ULL, NT scored there points in garbage time. Both UTSA and USM scored late to make it look closer. Other than OU and AU our D gives up less than 20 points a game even with garbage time TDs. I hope it continues, I was really happy with the D against the first pass first team (USM) we played.

I would be shocked if we were held below 21...We have scored over 34 points the last 8 games....You gave up 20 to Southern Miss who is 113th in the nation in scoring offense last game out and 27 to Northwest St., but that is why they play the game on the field, we will see.....If you do hold us under 21 that would really be a accomplishment and will give your defense their due....

I don't feel good about this game at all. Dixon can't hold on to a football these days, hurt receivers, and slow first halves don't inspire a lot of confidence. Defense has to put up points for us to win.

I don't know what to think. I've always believed in good defense over good offense, but WKU's offense scares me. If they can put 8 in the box and stop Dixon like everyone else is doing, I don't know if we can keep up with them. If they can't stop Dixon, we should be alright. Should be a fun game to watch!

I haven't seen WKU play since their first game when they destroyed BGSU and I was really impressed. We will need for offense to also step up in this game and not make mistakes. Our D is a given and they will need to play well - should be interesting to see what Diaz comes up with.

One thing I know about WKU:

No one has been able to stop WKU offense (except themselves)
WKU has been able to stop no one

We will make your QB look like a sure lock for the Heisman. Will be a shoot out!
