Thabeet fouled a ton. So do most rookie bigs. The nba refs are bad about rookies paying their dues.

I love Tarik, huge, athletic, and it was always an automatic two points when we could actually feed him the ball. He ever learns to rebound a little better and defend without fouling he could have a long career, averaging 3.85 fouls in 19 minutes is pretty rough.

Looks like that KU decision paid off after all ...

Yep... the KU decision was the best decision he ever made. Wonder how he will be introduced as far as where he played in college. That will be interesting.

Tarik Black didn't do a lot of things well, but converting buckets around the basket was one of the things he could do.

Well for 3 years his rebound numbers were down because with our style he was to tie up his man and allow our guards to get the board. Until he transferred away and then he sucked and was a quitter.

I guess whoever ran him through his NBA draft camp taught him to rebound. We ought to hire that guy.

But perhaps it was Self's coaching. His defensive rebounding numbers were about 40% higher at KU.
