Bowl selection order
Gildan New Mexico vs. Mtn. West

Boca Raton vs. MAC

Bahamas vs. MAC

Hawaii vs. Mtn. West

Zaxby's HOD vs. Big Ten

DC Independence vs. ACC or SEC

I thought that Zaxby's got first choice but now that Duck Commander is on ABC would it make more sense for the conference champion to go there? Does anybody know the picking order?

RE: Bowl selection order
From my understanding with this new six year agreement in place, there isn't a specific and chronological flow to the process. The bowls and league will work together to create the best match-ups taking into consideration a number of factors including location, ticket sales, and the match-up of the two teams.

That makes sense.

If your team (Marshall, LT, anybody else) had the choice, would they prefer Dallas or Shreveport?

Depends on the opponent, i think.

I'd happily take a Big 10 team in Dallas over a MAC team in Shreveport.

But if we're looking at two possible G5 opponents, I'd have to pick Shreveport. Better timeslot this year, better TV, etc.

Indeed. One woul think, for instance, that LaTech would be an excellent draw for the Indy Bowl. Don't have a clue though how Tech fans feel about it.

RE: Bowl selection order
If Dallas has a Big Ten team qualify it is the best bowl. Shreveport (should they select a C-USA team. there is no guarantee the spot will be open) would be the second best opponent (ACC).

After that you send the lower attended teams to Hawai'i and the Bahamas. A west team to New Mexico and an east team to Boca.

I have seen several projections with a C-USA team in Birmingham. That would mean the SEC would have to be 2 teams short. Could happen I guess if they get 2 in the playoff.

Completely agree. 2:30 kick-off on Saturday and ABC, versus 11:00 am kick-off on Friday and ESPN. Shreveport wins.
