Dear Slappies

Since Joe Stalin Stateman bans anyone who does not toe the "Happy Talk" line I'll respond here, because I know you guys read this crap religiously.

I've read your idiotic thread. Let me take you by the hand and walk you slowly through this.

You try and portray it as if I wish bad things on CMU and Rawls. Not the case at all. I'm sure you've heard the term "poetic justice." You guys like to sanitize the Rawls incident as a simple misdemeanor, barely worthy of a slap on the wrist.

We all know stealing a woman's purse and using her credit cards is VERY SERIOUS. Probably more serious than Floury shop lifting, which he was thrown off the team for.

Rawls was simply not deserving of being reinstated the day after being convicted. He basically made an old lady suffer, but he suffered no REAL consequences. Upon conviction Rawls needed to be suspended, at least until his sentencing.

You guys were ALL ashamed of this, and often admitted outright that Enos had handled it wrong------but when he ran for 200+ and got a couple of wins, all was forgiven.

Rawl's isn't dead, his life isn't over, and the only person hurting from his injury is himself, and a few overzealous fans, who show little concern for appropriate behavior, and more concern for a win for the Flying C's.

You can still win without him. I'd still pick you to beat us, even without him. But plain and simple HE DOESN'T BELONG ON YOUR TEAM AT THIS POINT. If an injury brought about what should have happened in the first place, well, that's Karma.

Quote:This is what happens to people who are too invested in the outcome of a football game. Simply put, football sometimes causes people who lack perspective or meaning in their lives to lose their minds. In the case of Worstin fans, the root cause is years and years of getting their azzes handed to them by their rival.

Arrow, you're a one trick pony.

For you, every sport in your program can suck. Football is it for you and many of your fellow slappies (although they jump on the female hoops bandwagon because the guys blow chunks).

We won the MAC in hoops last year. Won the CCHA a couple years ago, over UMSU, and ND, real powerhouses. I don't put all my apples in football, and nor should you, because CMU football hasn't exactly been a dynasty in the last 20 years. As for domination by our rival, you've won one game in the last twelve with us in hoops, and that counts. Under Enos you haven't exactly been kicking our azz even though we've been pretty bad in the Enos era.

I don't care for CMU, but I don't hate my CMU coworkers, and have had many great discussions with alums at games.

My issue with the Rawls situation is that it reeks of desperation on Enos's part, and he simply didn't get any real consequences. I've spent 25 years watching enabled children and adults, and the results down the road are rarely good. You guys simply turned a blind eye to a horrible situation, all for the sake of winning.

You guys, who bought into how it was handled, and Mr. Rawls, deserve the outcome. He'll be fine, and life as a CMU rabid football fan will go on.

RE: Dear Slappies
Hey Arrow, why don't you post a poll on Slappy Illy asking the following.

1. How many games should Rawls have been suspended for not telling Enos he had been arrested?

2. Should Enos have reinstated Rawls the day after his sentencing?

3. Many games should Enos have suspended him for stealing an old ladies purse and credit cards?

Those are specific questions that allow little or no room to dance around.

Maybe my buddy "Vandalblaster" over on your sight will post it. He said he was a Chip 03-shhhh
