Week 10 predictions
Thursday:

Troy at Georgia Southern on ESPNU - Blakeney blames the loss on playing on a weeknight but forgets how both teams have been playing this season as the real reason. Eagle fans hold posters up on ESPNU asking for bowl invite Eagles 56-17

Saturday:

ULM at Texas A&M on SEC Network - ULM forgets that Aggies biggest weekaness is their defense and plays super conservative again after seeing how well it worked for three quarters against Texas St. Against a former Fran coached team it has to work right?. Aggies 45-16

Texas St at NMSU - Fran thinks hes figured out play calling and calls multiple draws up the middle and bubble screens on third and long. After five straight three and outs hes lets his OC call plays and the Bobcats fight their way back again. Aggies turnover problems continue to hurt them. Bobcats 31-21

Georgia St at App St - App St think weather is their biggest advantage and don't game plan for the Panthers. Georgia St remembers they play better on the road and get a confidence boost. Arbuckle forgets his hand warmers and throws a pick six at the end. Mountaineers 34-31

Arkansas St at Idaho - Anderson decides that he will only call half a dozen trick plays and punt the ball when in the Vandal end zone. Idaho fans wish they played outside to take advantage of the weather App style. Red Wolves 38-17

South Alabama at Louisiana - Cajuns get cocky like they did last year against USA. USA takes early lead but then Ul's RB takes over and puts an end to it. Ragin Cajuns 42-31

RE: Week 10 predictions
Troy @ Georiga Southern: Troy's defense has given up nearly 2000 yards on the ground in 8 games so far this season (which averages out at about 245 a game) along with 39 points a game; this Eagles offense vs Trojans defense just appears on paper to be a match up nightmare for the men of Troy. I wouldn't be surprised if this game was over by halftime. Ga Southern 45-20

ULM @ Texas A&M: The Aggies have dropped 3 straight and are in a desperate need of a win-they should get it against a Warhawk team with a Defense that, while talented seemingly tank quickly, and an offensive attack that appear to not be able to keep up in the scoring department. Texas A&M 45-17

Texas State @ New Mexico State: This Bobcats squad is extremely difficult to grasp; on one hand they definitely have showed they not only move the ball but score and score quick and yet have had moments of an inability to execute on offense. Still, gotta feel like they should be the more talented team compared to an Aggies squad that has dropped six straight, not to mention the fact New Mexico State failed to put more than 17 points on a Vandal defense that has been giving up an average of 36 points a game. Texas State 30-20

Georgia State @ Appalachian State: The Mountaineers scored a big time victory at Troy 2 weeks ago and should be fully rested up and rarin to go against a Panther Squad that, while certainly has had fight in them for most of their games, has still dropped seven straight games. Assuming Appalachian State doesn't have multiple turnovers and mistakes and keep the Panther passing game in check, Mountaineers should push their winning streak to two. Appalachian State 42-28

Arkansas State @ Idaho: This has trap game written all over it for the Red Wolves-Blake Anderson and crew have to make sure the Pack keeps their focus on the Vandals and not dwelling on the big time game against South Al the following Saturday. Had this game ocurred a week after the disappointing lost to Lafayette, I'd be afraid stAte might still be down on the lost, however with 12 days to regroup, I suspect Red Wolves bounce back and get a much needed to win to right the season. Arkansas State 34-23\

South Alabama @ Louisiana Lafayette: Cajuns have appeared to have gotten their mojo back and look to revenge a humiliating lost to the Jaguars. Both will be looking to establish their running game, though I feel like who's ever Quarterback can make the crucial plays (along with defense stepping up) will win the day; I give the edge to Lafayette. Louisiana Lafayette 35-27

Georgia State is not necessarily that affected by the weather. They almost won the coldest game in a long time in Jonesboro last year.

RE: Week 10 predictions
I am only going to give an opinion on one game.....sorry for that....but if GS does not beat us by 40 I will be surprised.....it is so rough on the few of our players who are still giving 100% 100% of the time........Its a difficult year.......

with that I do believe that most of the other games will be much more competitive than ours.......

If it is close I will be very pleased and totally surprised.

RE: Week 10 predictions
Southern over Troy over by end of 1st quarter
aTm over ULM but you know Todd Berry is just bad enough to pull this one out
Ga State over App I'm morally picking Ga State for the rest of the year but will not put money on them
ASU over Idaho wont even be close
UL over USA should be a good game maybe settle by a field goal
TxSt over NMSU just don't take NMSU lightly

RE: Week 10 predictions
To fulfill the duties of a poster as per (the fan contract) (big bang SAheldon style)

UL by 17 unless it is windy then due to the velocity by which the polar vortex travels than 19,

Ark St. by 24 unless there is a drop in the barometric pressure in the Java District of Indonesia by thus creating a global directional jet stream change of 2 degrees thus causing a field goal to miss JUST WIDE LEFT.....then 21

App st. by 20 unless the moonshine harvest is a week early then it will be by 12.

Texas State by 12......just because

ULM by 6 over A&M.....Bazinga!!!!! A&M by 35

Georgia Southern.......can name it......Sorry truth hurts......however if there is an outbreak of cholera on the GS team and the NCAA declares OH lets say 21 of their starters....we will win by 3.

We don't need jet stream directional changes to miss field goals. We may need them to make field goals.

You wish. We haven't done anything this year to make you believe USA has much of a chance.

RE: Week 10 predictions
Troy/Georgia Southern - Troy arrives in Statesboro and after driving halfway through the tailgating, the Trojans are frightened by the thousands of drunk and jeering Eagle fans and turn around to go home. Blakeney gives his farewell address on the bus steps upon return to Troy. Somehow the Eagles still score 52 points.

ULM/Texas A&M - ULM puts up a huge fight in the first half much like the game against Kentucky, but the Aggies wake up after halftime. 17-34 Aggies

TXST/NMSU - A pretty close game until the fourth quarter when the Bobcats get a lucky break that gives them a lead and momentum to finish the deed. 20-36 Bobcats

Ga State/App State - Little do App State fans know, they have built their beloved stadium on top of an active volcano. At halftime, it erupts and annihilates Ga State's team and App State's team and fans. A party ensues in Statesboro that lasts for 40 days and 40 nights until Statesboro police shut it down. Somehow the Eagles still score 52 points in this game also.

StAte/Idaho - Idaho gets an interception, but that's about it. Long story short, Arkansas comes out mad and quick. 10-47 StAte

South Alabama/Louisiana - One of the most exciting games to watch all season in the conference. Cajuns pull out a win by getting the field goal to end the game. 52-14-17 Cajuns.

I'm gonna say that the Troy/Georgia Southern game is going to be closer than many believe. Don't think they are gonna win, but think they will keep it interesting for the whole game.

Why? Because eventually, they'll actually do it!

I don't recall the Cajuns being cocky leading up to last year's game. We'd just lost to ULM and our starting quarterback was out. Only a fool would be cocky under those circumstances.

Cold and snow favors a running team or a passing team?

Week 10 predictions
I'm just going to throw it out there, that after seeing both play live, I have to say Arbuckle > Lamb. Panthers have a punchers chance. But they've never played in a cold Boone before. It gets cold and windy up in those mountains. App St vs Ga St should be a high scoring game either way.
