Personally, I would prefer that Rawls plays against us. That way, if Eastern was to win the game, we wouldn't have to listen to all the crying from the Central crowd that they would have won if Rawls played. By the way Rawls did not light up the scoreboard when at U-M, or be their best running back. Why the success at Central?
Rawls is a game changer but I think we can play without him. I don't think you will hear any of us say that. If we lose to EMU, we deserve to lose regardless of who played.
And the success at CMU is because the MAC is a joke. The BIG10 is a joke too, but not as big of one.

I believe according to an article on the CMU Rivals board that Rawls is listed as starting RB for the EMU game (see Enos releases depth chart article).

GameWeek: CMU
off topic a bit, but i just drove past Memorial Park on Congress, and i saw some EMU football players picking up trash and raking leaves outside of the senior center. that was cool to see, and reaffirms my love for CC. there's very little traffic over there, and they didnt have any advertising or anything. im guessing that the sole motivation is to be good citizens.

That is awesome! Win or lose that is what makes me proud of this program and school.

He wasn't in a cast or anything but I wouldn't be surprised if he was held out against EMU.
If Rawls plays, CMU will win this game by 20+. If he does not play, I think we can win by 10. However, no matter how putrid EMU has been in the past, they always give CMU problems. Seems like EMU is decent this year so we shall see. CMU can't come out looking for a bowl game yet, EMU has played teams tough.
To add to what George said, Saylor Lavallii rushed for over 800 yards last season. Rawls has taken most of the carries this season, but Lavallii was solid at Buffalo against a defense that was sitting on the run. Our run game is less explosive without Rawls, but we still have one.
When I saw CMU play at Kansas without Rawls, it really had no offense at all. "Less explosive" is being very generous. It had all the combustion of a sparkler.
We were also missing Titus Davis against Kansas. Of course, the biggest difference is that Kansas, while poor enough offensively to get its coach fired, actually has a solid D. Your team's defense, OTOH...

Cool story. We definitely didn't notice.
