I don't really see the rationale for ranking Memphis above Houston at this point. Outside of 1 bad loss this year, Houston has been as good as Memphis, and over the past 3 weeks has definitely been better.
Last three weeks:
Houston: Lost by an inch at home to UCF, beat Memphis at the LB, and whopped Temple at home.
Memphis: Whopped Cincy at PBS, lost at home to Houston, beat up on hapless SMU on the road.
I don't see where either team really sticks out over the other at this point in the year, so objectively, I would have to go with head to head and give the edge to UH. Just my $.02.
If you want to use that 3 week sample but body of work is better than Houston's. I really am indifferent on ranking memphis or Houston in front of each other. It's a wash to me. I have a problem people ranking Cincy ahead of either team. They haven't stopped a good team with an offense yet.
I love this double standard. So UC has no right to be anywhere close to Memphis, but Houston beating Memphis at home makes it dubious? I was about to say I saw your hind quarters are feeling better since you arent ranking UC 10th anymore, but clearly that isn't the case.
My order is:
1) ECU
2) UCF
3) Houston
4) Memphis
5) Cincy
6) Temple
7) USF
8) Tulane
9) UConn
10) Tulsa
11) SMU
Cincy hasn't beaten any team with a winning record. When they did play winning teams, they got ran off the field.
I guess if Cincy is that bad, then Memphis has beaten exactly 0 good teams this year either.
I guess if you can't make a coherent argument, you have to resort to just trashing another team. Good work.
Did you not read my post? I said winning teams which means a winning record. We beat Middle(5-3) and Cincy(4-3). You guys have 0 wins over any winning team. Do you understand now?

You also said Cincy has gotten blown out by every good team they've played, insinuating they are bad. Considering almost the entire argument for Memphis being any good at all rests on UC being reasonably good, I'd suggest you take a different avenue for your sore feelings.

Dude! UC lost to Memphis 41-14 in their own house. Memphis body of work is better than UC's. UC hasn't earned the right to be ranked ahead of Memphis till we lose our second game and you keep winning. Right now, UC is not better than Memphis.

RE: Week 9: Rank the AAC
This is a message board ranking. UC does not have to "earn the right" to do anything. If people legitimately think UC has gotten it's defense together to the point where they are better than Memphis so be it. I don't think there is enough evidence to show that so I still give Memphis and Houston the edge because of UC's awful performances against Miami and Memphis. That said the last two weeks have at least been encouraging.
On that one day Memphis was significantly better than UC, but one game sample sizes are subject to large variation.

'Dude', I have Memphis ahead of UC. What are you talking about? I don't think there is much debate about that, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
I was pointing out your hypocrisy of the fact that Houston beat you in your own house as well. Then you slammed the only allegedly good team you've beat all season and I pointed out that it doesn't make Memphis look very good.

You aren't the only good team. Middle Tennessee is 5-3 and is about to go bowling. I said UC hasn't beaten any good or great teams this year. You have a chance with your up coming schedule.

ECU and UCF belong ahead of us. Maybe Cincy too. But we beat Temple and Memphis.
I would say no to that bolded, since you beat us by 4 on our home field, and we beat Cincy 41-14 on their home field. To be fair, we didn't have the good fortune to game-plan against your "new" quarterback. Else, our game against each other might have ended differently.
Transitive logic, gotta love it.

I guess I missed where a UC fan had UC #1. I think pretty much all of us had them 5 or 6 at this point.
