Game Day: NIU
Not much to say. Pleasant day for football.

Today's avatar is of Russell catching a beautiful TD pass from Bell at UMass last Saturday. (I took the photo off of a television so it is blurry - do not adjust your monitors 05-nono).

RE: Game Day: NIU
Let's hope Russell continues to be an active threat throughout the game today. In Monday's presser, DeBoer said the ball needs to be distributed better. Hopefully all three running backs get the touches they need, and perform once their hands are on the ball.

RE: Game Day: NIU
About the only other half interesting comment I can make is here is the ESPN.COM scoreboard and betting line: Line: NIU -19 O/U: 61.5

Based on the betting line (NIU -19) and over/under of 61.5 points a hypothetical projected score might be roughly NIU 40, EMU 21.

That suggests more offense then we shown this year except UB and Morgan State.

RE: Game Day: NIU
Every time we've given up a long rush for a TD over the past 3 seasons, a little part of my soul dies.

To me, Brumfield looks like he deserves the start.

Offense and Reggie Bell are looking really good. I'm impressed.

Bell's throwing has been impressive. Bell looks 100% better then game #1 vs. Morgan State.

That field looks like crap on tv. It might be better in person, but damn on tv is beyond bad.

I promise it looks much better live. On the ESPN3 field it comes of as a much lighter, shinny tone than compared to the tint in person.

I actually think it looks really good on TV, but maybe I'm in the minority. Or maybe the NIU fan is just trolling. Not sure.

Some shots look good; some very shinny.

NIU is the class of the MAC. Of course they'll automatically think everying EMU is bad.

My CMU friend and I went to the Buffalo game, he loved the turf, I loved the turf. I think it looks good on espn3.

RE: Game Day: NIU
Only hope to stay in it in the first half is to get a long drive here. Defense will need to make huge adjustments going into the second half. They're letting an average rushing QB tear us up.
