I was looking for an author so I could blast the article.

You know what? I'll take Jordan as a local hero making an appearance at Fatty's in DeKalb over the total BULL that the Heisman winner is up to these days.
Jameis the rapist criminal? NO THANKS. 03-puke

Jordan Lynch did much better in football than this anonymous hack will in journalism. All Lynch ever has done is exhibit class and ability as a football player. That's more than this jerkwad has shown in this opinion piece.

RE: Lynch article that makes me want to punch the writer.
Let me know when Fox News ever reports anything that means anything. I've been waiting for years and it hasn't happened. Also, they're looking at something that Lynch was nice enough to do - signing autographs, as if it's some sort of demeaning activity.

One more reason not to pay attention to the drivel known as Fox News, as if there wasn't enough already.

The article says way more about the writer than it does Lynch.

I will repeat again.. It's called clickbait. How many of you have read it multiple times? The writer has done his/her job getting traffic to the website.

I'm a WMU fan and I thought the article was a joke. No author listed either.

Stirring the pot on the internet is the new way to generate ad space and income. It's quite sad.

I read that article online when it was published as and I remember thinking that it was written by a thoughtless person in a disrespectful manner.

Lynch might/might not play professional football in the NFL or Canada but he was a great college QB and a heisman finalist which very few people will ever achieve. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to see him play. He is also a quality person who represents our program in a manner that makes me proud to be an alum.

+1000. Well said. He brought lots of joy to NIU fans and alum. And he is humble and classy on top of that. Lots of great college players aren't made for the NFL. I heard only 1.5% of college players play in the NFL.

I was looking for the author as well so I could troll him/her via twitter. Had to settle for the generic foxsports handle.

RE: Lynch article that makes me want to punch the writer.
To be fair, NIU heavily marketed Lynch as a Heisman candidate. There were a great deal of fans and media members who were always skeptical if Lynch really was very good outside of MAC play. When you put a guy up on a pedestal, there will be people itching to knock him off.

Lynch also didn't didn't do himself any favors when he came across as arrogant and cocky at the Orange Bowl.

It stings when it's your own guy, but unfortunately it comes with the territory when you become a nationally recognized football program. Frankly, I'm just happy NIU is still getting publicity. Staying top of the mind is good for recruiting. We aren't going to be much more than a blip on the radar from the looks of things recently.

None of what you mentioned even begins to excuse the garbage that is this article.
