The Oak Trees Are Back!
Just read the article on ESPN last night regarding the replacement Oaks being planted on Toomer's Corner. I had asked Jr about this in the past and wondered if Auburn had saved acorns from the famous live oaks there... and it turns out that there are twelve year old tress growing on a tree farm by Auburns's Forestry Program , from acorns harvested from the parent trees which were killed. They were saved and planted just in case something happened to the parent trees. If I understood the article correctly, the first two trees being are much bigger and are not from the original seeds, but twenty five trees which are from the parent trees are being planted in the original spots of their parents. This is awesome news. From those of us not from Auburn, congratulations!

Thanks Medic. I doubt that I ever get a chance to see them large enough to roll, but my children and grandchildren might. War Eagle!

The first two are much bigger. It is costing Auburn $900,000 to make this happen. They are not allowing the fans to roll them for a year. You have plenty of time Jr.
