The "Script" is returning on helmet decals and will remain the rest of the season.

RE: Breaking Pitt News
What will people talk about on Pitt message boards now?

I guess the colors. Once they come back, I just don't know. The boards may shut down.

Seriously though, that looks great. That's our look and we should keep it now forever. We've seen what the grass is like on the other side and it wasn't greener.

For the love of God keep the current colors. What finally prompted the helmet change?

Nobody seems to know what prompted the change? I'm going to go with common sense finally prevailing.

RE: Breaking Pitt News
If you look at Pitt's uniform history, it's been a slow transition back to this classic look. I'm going to attempt to trace the uniforms back as best I can here.

When Pederson came to Pitt, he made the transition to a logo Pitt fans have called Dinocat:

First, a transition was made to a block Pitt logo:

The uniforms changed, but still struggled:

Finally, in 2009 a Nike revamp occurred and went a long way towards restoring the classic look:

Last season, Pitt put stripes back on the helmet:

Tomorrow, with script Pitt, the uniforms will basically be back to the classic look. The noticeable differences are that the colors are different and there aren't stripes on the jersey sleeves.

Nah, that CAN'T be it!

More likely explanation: aliens have taken over Steve Pederson's brain.

New campaign: bring back sleeve stripes!

I love the script. Pitt fans should petition to bring these back permanently.
