RE: [OT] Marshall article
If you said there was a Marshall article in Rolling Stone, I'd bet it was about amplifiers.

Or that unlike Rolling Stone, Marshall does gather Moss?

Interesting that the article didn't mention how C-USA has hired a PR firm to help extol the virtues of Marshall football and why they should be considered for the playoff.

RE: [OT] Marshall article
Not directly tied with this article, but was poking around on whether the Rice/Marshall game time and TV had been set. Should be soon.

But I found a listing of the potential slots and found the following (all times EST):

Quote:WEEK 12
Saturday, Nov. 15
TBA at TBA (3:30 p.m., FOX)
TBA at TBA (7:30 p.m., FOX)
TBA at TBA (3 p.m., FS1)
TBA at TBA (10 p.m., FS1)
TBA at TBA (2 p.m., FSN)
source: http://www.foxsports.com/college-footbal...rts-052914

So it would appear we'd be in one of those slots there. Doesn't look like anything before 2pm Eastern (and probably not the 10pm).

RE: [OT] Marshall article
TV Guru MattSarz thinks they might be holding that game to see the results of this week's games. Marshall wins and it's likely on FS1, lose and it's on FSN.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, although I thought TV had to be set more than a week in advance.

And Marshall against USM? If USM pulls the upset, that would be the shock of the year.

RE: [OT] Marshall article
Fox could request a 6 day window but I think the minimum is usually 10 days. I see no way USM stays within 3 scores. Guess they just want to play it safe.

RE: [OT] Marshall article
mattsarz lists TCU at Kansas in the FS1 slot at 3pm, Washington at Arizona on Fox at 3:30pm, and Texas at Oklahoma State on Fox at 7:30pm. That pretty much leaves Rice at Marshall at 2pm on FSN, unless the conference is trying to negotiate a move onto a different carrier (think ESPN or NBCSN). It's one of only 3 games left without an announced time.

I couldn't remember which thread discussed the start time, so I started a new one. 1:30 on FSN, per RiceOwls.com
