40K reported. I was at the game and would guess closer to 35 at the peak.

It was ugly. ECU is not playing well right now. However, they are playing well enough to pull their heads out of their tears just enough to win. I'll take 6-1 over the crap teams I watched when I was a student at ECU in the early 00's any day. They have a lot to work on. Hopefully they get it together. Either way I see no gap between us and Marshall right now. Marshall is definitely playing better. If this continues and we win out it could get very interesting. I think the committee puts Marshall ahead of ECU in the first poll and i would not have an issue with it. Also, solid comment comparing ECU to Ebola...(to whoever said that)

This was a game thread.... to discuss the game. That is the point. And i am not sure if you watched the game, but ECU did in fact, "lose" tonight in the grand scheme of things.

it's happening across the board with all schools, I think. ecu is very good school when it comes to attendance,but for some reason, attendance is down for everyone. It might be the availability for home games at home on tv, but whatever the case may be, all home games should be blacked out.

Home games should never be blacked out. Then the lazy ppl would jist sit at home and watch someone else play instead of your team. And its also unfair to many fans in tough spots and maybe cant go for whatever other reason.

ECU won and UConn played well. Nothing's changed. If ECU loses then maybe it's time to talk about possibilities. No one can or will know the criteria that the committee will use till after the fact and they're the last and only word in it all, w/ no accountability to a single soul. Still early folks, nearly a half a season to go. Heard them say Auburn was ranked 24th this time last season. Lots of stuff WILL change between now and seasons' end. Congrats Pirates, win and move on.

Exactly. No unbiased person that is halfway knowledgeable about football can look at ECU and what its done agaonst **** competition and compare that to what marshall has done and say ecu is better.

FIU, MTSU, ODU, Akron, Ohio > USF, Uconn, and SMU (and tulsa coming up) and we demolished those teams vs ECU struggling.

You are stupid and need a mental check up. UNC put up 80 points on ODU, we put up 70 on UNC. USF has more 3 stars than those teams combined, USF and UConn have BCS history.

Attendance is never as good for a Thursday night game. People travel for Sat. games and can't do that for Week night games.

Thread started long before the game was over and UConn had a shot to win it last night

Less than impressive performance by ECU last night

I'm only going to make one post.

First lets agree that ECU is better this year than last year.
Last year ECU cruised through CUSA except for Marshall and MTSU.
This year ECU is struggling with the " crappy" teams of the American.

While ECU, should be playing better, the American teams are good enough that if you have an off day you're not going to cruise. That really didn't happen last year.

Also, it was in the mid 50's, and not much humidity. The ball was pretty slick, and we dropped at least 7 passes. UCONN packed the box every play so we really had no choice other than to pass. I thought our defense played pretty well for the most part. They had two big plays, and if those balls are swatted down UCONN probably only scores 7. As for whoever said we threw a lot of jump balls, I only remember one the others were just deep passes. Fades aren't really a jump ball when Carden throws them.

Attendance was pretty pitiful, I think we had more for FAU last year on a Thursday. Students showed up, and had a solid 9-10K.
