Honestly don't know much about the team, but have been hearing for almost a year that this is probably the most talented team we've had in a long time (if ever). I predict we surprise a couple teams and finish mid-table. 04-rock

Mid-Table? We're playing basketball...not soccer.

I mean I know most of us have a hard time understanding basketball...but geez.

Sorry, habbit. Like I said, don't follow basketball much. What is the proper terminology for being somewhere in the middle of the standings? 07-coffee3
Mid-pack

App is ranked about right (last). Hopefully Fox can turn this program around rather quickly. Maybe he can get a lot more out of the returning players than Capel did............if not App's in big trouble.

I think App and GS are very good additions to the Sun Belt in football. I think in baseball we will prove to be good additions also. Basketball remains to be seen. I am hoping both of us can get our basketball programs up and running. One of the big problems here at GS is our facility. We need a new basketball facility in the worst way.

Hanner is tiny and outdated. It has good acoustics when it is full or close to it (4,500), which is rare. It can be a good homecourt advantage, which it was in the early 00s. It's been nearly a decade since we won more than 20 games in a season. I think Mark Byington is a good coach, he recruits really well and he's paid his dues. I think he'll get us back to that level. How far he takes this talented team will tell us how good he is.
