I expect any day the announcement that auto parts supplier Takata has filed bankruptcy. 03-banghead

One of the articles said it was a SIX hour repair per vehicle. Honda alone has 5 million affected cars. That is 30 million hours plus part costs.

Takata was playing a numbers game for years, I know quite a few TRW engineers that went there to work in Arizona, said outright that their airbags were faulty but the tolerances were low in testing because of the low incidences that they'd actually be needed. They were a sham. Too bad it took so long to expose them.

Yeah and just think of all the landfill waste, lost productivity, people taking time off from work, wasted gas driving to the dealer, etc. this stuff has a substantial economic impact.
