None of those schools will be punished at all, they had nothing to do with what Chapel Hill was up to. If anything it might benefit some of the other instate schools. Lucky you, so wish my school would change it's name. We did it for sports, seems only logical to do it for the academic side as well given how Chapel Hill has forever tarnished the UNC name.

I just want Charlotte to change it's official name from UNC Charlotte to UC or CU or something that gets rid of the UNC crap. Heck, App, ECU, NC State, etc all are UNC system schools and don't have UNC in their names. Just wish we didn't either.

Don't know how directly related, but from the four-letter mouse ear article:
