And I call BS on that. In that respect Troy is a better job than UAB, at least Troy doesn't have to worry about their board firing a coach because he is doing a good job or not hire a coach because he is good, ala Jimbo Fisher.
Akron is a lot easier to recruit to, than to Troy. Akron is a better job than both UAB and Troy. Ohio has a lot of talent in it and they all can't go to Ohio State. If you look at all the IA schools in Ohio I would say most of the rosters are made up of 40-50% of those from Ohio.
So it doesn't stay 70 degrees up until December in Akron but then again football was meant to be played in the fall and winter when it gets cold and snows.
Akron has a ton more to do than Troy and Cleveland is only 35 mins away if you want to go watch a pro game or enjoy the big city night life more.
Akron has newer and more modern facilities also. Bowden already has the luxury of an IPF for inclement weather. And a new stadium that is only 5 years old. Yeah Bowden isn't leaving Akron for Troy and this could be Terry Bowdens last stop. He could coach there the next 8-10 years and retire.

Terry Bowden supposedly applied for the Arkansas State job last year if the rumors were true. Just an FYI.

Is an impressive looking indoor practice facility at Akron.
Bet they use it a lot.

MHO-FWIW is that Terry Bowden will be a huge candidate for the Troy vacancy and I think he'll give it strong consideration. He's no doubt doing a fine job at Akron, but I believe he'd much rather be at Troy than Akron for obvious reasons.

Troy is aiming for a bigger fish than Terry at this point.
I'm not a Troy fan because of wins and losses.

Wow, at 77 years old that would be something.
Hard to believe, but would be a notable coach,
and his quotes are priceless.
“Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.”
“Never tell your problems to anyone...20% don't care and the other 80% are glad you have them.”
“Without self-discipline, success is impossible, period.”

Bob Stoops, Gus Malzahn, Steve Spurrier, Jimbo Fisher, Nick Saban, Hugh Freeze, Dabo Swinney, Mark Richt, Urban Meyer, Gary Patterson, Todd Graham, Gary Anderson, Bobby Petrino, Les Miles, Dan Mullin, Rich Rodriguez??? Are these fish big enough to fry? Better have a humongous skillet if they're not.

None of those are on the list. Whose your next 16?

You left out Will Muschamp and Mack Brown. These two fish may fit into their pan.

You might be just trying to be funny. But Hemi man is most likely the MOST knowledgable Troy person around... He very likely knows exactly who Troy is going after. Don't discredit what he has to say.
If he said Troy has bigger fish to fry than Bowden he's most likely correct...
