Basketball Starters
I'm sure this topic has already been discussed ten times over on here, but I seldom get on here so just wanted to check. What is the starting five looking like this year? Just from the eye test it looks like- Johnson, Woodson, King, Nichols, Goodwin. Is this pretty close or is the backcourt looking different?

the 2 is up in the air. i think it'll come down to Woodson or Burrell.

I would probably say Burrell but he's got a lot to learn between now and the start of the season. That would give us a 6'4". 6'6", 6'7", 6'9" and 6'8" starting lineup. I expect that Hawkins, Godfrey, Woodson, Iverson and Pookie will get some decent minutes as well. Not sure about Markel though.

I'm going to have to buy a program to keep up with all the newcomers.

Here's a cheat sheet:
0-Trahson Burrell
1-Markel Crawford
2-Shaq Goodwin
3-Pookie Powell
4-Austin Nichols
5-Nick King
10-Dominic Magee
11-Chris Hawkins
14-Jordan Manse
15-Kedren Johnson
20-Avery Woodson
23-Kuran Iverson
40-Calvin Godfrey
42-Jake McDowell

With King having trouble guarding the 3position, move Burrell to the 3, and start pookie and Johnson in the back court. King rotates in.

Pookie - McGee
Johnson - Crawford
Burrell - King
Goodwin - King
Nichols - Iverson

What makes you think Burrell is a better defender?

I was told it seems to be a 3 legged race at the 3, Nick, Burrell and Hawkins.

I heard Hawkins has the edge because he plays better defense than Burrell or King.

I hope defense is being stressed this year...

nothing, if he's not then you go another way. But his offensive game is more suited to playing with the other 2. King likes the ball low.

There's 12 legit players there that would see a lot of minutes on the average D1 team. To successfully manage that squad from a coaching standpoint will be a huge challenge...a few of those guys will not get many minutes.

I heard Burrell could have a three legged race all by himself, if you know what I mean...04-rock
