One of my hundreds of NIU collectibles is a Huskie head logo carved into the shell of an emu egg. The egg also has football stripes carved vertically near the ends (so it looks like a football). It is quite nice because the emu egg shell is comprised of several layers of different colors. So you get a different color depending how deep you carve. The normal colors are mostly black, gray, and a sort of green in some eggs.

Yeah? Then bet on it. You can go online and place a bet for, say, $50. Why not, right? Heck, all you have to do is beat the spread -- so EMU to even beat the spread given your 11pt EMU victory should be a no-brainer!

The reason I didn't put NIU's score So High is because I believe EMU does have a better D than their record indicates. Although Not Good, it's not AS bad as one would auto-think:

- Held Old Dominion to 17 (their avg: 30.6)
- Led Akron to 31 (their avg: 23.1)
- Held Buffalo to 27 (their avg: 33)
- Held UMass to 36 (their avg: 30.3 - with All P5 OOC games)

In other words, a breakable D, but not quite as weak as one would expect. I could see NIU breaking out to get Hare back on track. On their home field, I think they'll have an nice little edge to get some stops to keep it going not much past 50 at the most.

But if NIU scores under 40, then that'd be unfortunate. But I think they'll get 41-50 pts out of the deal. But now that I think about it, I'll up it a bit.

So take out a second mortgage and the kids' college funds go to Vegas put all the money on EMU since NIU won't cover. This is your chance to pay back that student loan and buy that dream double wide trailer.
