There's nothing odd or funny about losing in Baton Rouge on a Saturday night.

Nope, but that final play was extremely laughable.

That has to be among the worst coaching blunders ever in the last seconds of a game...doesn't make up his mind in time...gets the delay of game, LSU ices the kicker, he changes his mind AGAIN and throwsit to the end zone...to be picked off and lose. Doh!

RE: Laughable Scores - Week 9
Great stat from that Ole Miss-LSU game, just shown on ESPN:
Starting with Les Miles' first season at LSU (2005), LSU is the only team in FBS to have a winning record in games in which they were behind in the 4th quarter. And it's not even close: LSU is 24-23 (51.1%) after trailing in 4th quarter from 2005-present. The three next-best teams in that statistic: Texas at 18-34 (34.6%), FSU at 17-37, and Clemson at 17-38.
24 wins in that category in less than 10 seasons means that LSU averages over 2.5 wins per year in games where they were behind in the 4th quarter.

Really terrible. If he isn't kicking himself, he shouldn't be a head coach. It was almost Les Milesh.

I didn't have a huge problem with running another play, but that play absolutely had to be quick and a zero risk play in terms of turning it over. The roll out was fine, but he should have either throw a quick out, thrown it away, or if the guy was somehow wide open throw it to the end zone.

The call was bad but the delay of game was even worse. Everyone was acting like they had all day. They took a long time to get the kicking team in and then didn't create any sense of urgency. The kicker was sitting there doing his practice leg kicks. It was just ridiculous. They still had between 16 and 20 seconds on the clock when they sent the kicking team in.

Yep I agree completely that shouldn't have taken that long to decide and then they should have been quicker about it when they did.

Hugh Freeze is a terrible game time coach. He is the reasons they've lost a number of games where they should have won or at least gone to OT.
