I've done that before, though I still don't know much about it - - but I must imagine that the Rice Crew will be the best at any competition at "steering"!

Teams from the Midwest and Northeast have been known to winter in Austin to train on LadyBird Lake.

That's really cool. I love that Houston is making more use of Buffalo Bayou -- it's actually a cool place.

Clear Lake is just too dang far. Did the drive a few mornings when a friend and I made a video of the Crew team for our final project in "Videotape Making" with Prof Huberman. (I assume that class has since been renamed.)
