Miami sweeps O$U in hockey
We killed the Suckeyes yesterday 5-1 in Columbus, tonight we edged them 2-1 in Oxford despite having about 40 more SOG on them. On a side note, Miami is ranked 11th and OSU is 17th as of last Monday's poll (WMU received some votes as well).

Great wins Redhawks! I also see UofM got destroyed by New Hampshire Friday.

I guess you just forgot to post this from Week 1.

Sophomores Dufour and Sholl Lead The Falcons Past No. 10/11 Miami, 3-2

You're welcome! 03-wink

Might be a tougher year than usual for the young Broncos. We shall see.

Congrats to Miami - always great to beat B1G squads in any sport.

It's a shame the B10 broke off in hockey and made their own conference...sure liked wiping the ice with the Bucknuts all those years in the CCHA! The series is very lop-sided in favor or the RedHawks.

You might also mention that Miami and BG split 3-2 games that weekend, each team winning at home. BG did look stronger than I remember seeing them for a long time, so maybe you will have a strong season this year.

BG has a long a proud history of hockey...much more so than Miami. Including the 1984 Championship. The recent past only shows what a difference commitment and money can make when comparing BG and Miami. BG is finally back to committing to the program. It's getting better and we are finally seeing the results.

That, and your new coach is from Miami.

From Yahoo Sports:

"Miami is a considerably better team than Ohio State, as evidenced by their sweep. But the RedHawks are given to flights of fecklessness against opponents they should destroy, and despite that have started the season 3-1 against Bowling Green and Ohio State.

Do you know anything about the author of that? Does he actually have any NCAA chops...or did he just draw the short straw? 03-wink

This is what they post FWIW:
Quote:Ryan Lambert is our resident NCAA Hockey nut, and we decided it’s time to unleash his particular brand of whimsy on the college game every week. So NCAA HOCKEY 101 will run every Tuesday on Puck Daddy. Educate yo self.
