Congrats on the W!!! I would love for the Herd and So Miss to battle for C-USA championships every year. I wish you were still in our division though.

I've been seeing "promising" things even in the blowout losses Lucky, we just had (still have with the two interceptions) times where we've shot ourselves in the foot.

We still have to improve our red zone offense (We had 14 points we lost there again).

And the defense still does need some work...

But we sat Triplett on the bench most of the night (only one catch, don't know how many targets), and our receivers were able to hang on to a few balls. OL has looked like a unit the past couple of weeks.

Now I guess i need to see what they're moaning about on Eaglepost...

Southern Miss was just so young last year, but had some talent, that it was just a function of time before the Eagles would get back to respectability.

This was the most satisfying since the Youston game in 11. I felt all week we could very well win and start a run towards the end.
Our OL is jelling and we finally have the bulk of our backs healthy.

Our D is still like coaching a buddy ball game. If you can get out of one seven run inning a game you have a good chance.

I'll call it. we will be bowl eligible.

Maybe a little premature to talk about bowling. Look forward to a good game next weekend.

That would shock me, but I do now see it as possible. LaTech should beat us, but I now believe we have a shot. Marshall will beat us silly unless we have a game like UAB had against us in 2011. The other games are now officially toss-ups! I can get excited about some toss-ups!

I've actually seen it quite a few times before on BGN, this is just the first time it didn't seem Arkham crazy.

USM has been improving since Monken took over.. I'm not saying we'll go bowling. But happy to have 3 wins this season..

I did break out the lucky camo hat from 2011 today.. It's like Frosty the Snowman, there's some magic in that old hat.

I think the goat thread on the rivals loyalty board yesterday brought us luck

Nice win! At the start of the season, I would have never penciled your game at North Texas a W. Marshall fans understand strings of loses better than any fan (especially us old guys). Hang in there and I hope you continue to improve.
