STR: Ole Miss vs BCU
It looks like we might be able to beat Tennessee if we play in the Birmingham. Ole Miss beating UTk to sleep in the start of the 4th 24-3.

They have by far the worst O-line in the SEC. Dooley recruited 3 offensive lineman in 2 years, and 2 of them aren't with the program anymore. That's what Butch Jones is dealing with.

Hopefully the Buttchuggers are stupid enough to fire him next year. He would be a fine replacement for Furnte.

We might not either if we can't teams like Houston. But our schedule is pretty weak from here on out so Tigers should get enough wins. It will be to a low bowl and we will lose money on it, but...one step at a time.

UT isn't going anywhere until they get a real QB, which is going to be a few years. Their o line will improve but they need a QB.

Now I know why Butch was building that mailbox brick by brick.. so it would be easier for his team to mail in the rest of the season.

I'll be very surprised if Memphis isn't bowling this year. While it's true that our schedule is much easier than Tennessee's, we did give Ole Miss a much better game than they did tonight.

UT jumps offsides, Ole Miss' backup QB lobs one to the end zone on a "free play". Freeze called him over and told him to just hand it off (didn't want to score). Ole Miss didn't throw it again, and even when Dodson ran it in, Freeze was noticeable disappointed on the sideline. Even took an extra minute to explain it to Butch at midfield...

but keep on keepin'on.

Yeah, for some reason I just can't dislike Ole Miss. I'm not a fan but I don't dislike them.
When they scored again against ut, I smiled a little bit. Nothing, and I mean nothing, sucks like the big orange. Hate em. If they played uab I would root for some kind of natural event that would make them both take an L.

It was a tongue in cheek jab at Freeze.

And, yes, I am familiar with the facts leading to the score.

Tennessee would never agree to play Memphis in a bowl game, especially after we have shown to be a dangerous team. If we can win at least 7 games, we will be an attractive candidate for the B'ham Bowl this year, due to proximity and the fact that our fans are hungry for a bowl. Save your money and vacation time - it is very important for Tiger football to develop a good travel reputation, if we want bigger and better bowls (and perhaps even P5 conference membership) in the future. To a large extent, the future of our program is in OUR hands. Coaches, AD's and financial supporters cannot do it without us doing our part. Fan pride and loyalty played a great part in putting Miss State where they are today.
