I'm watching on TV and there really isn't a crowd. I was hoping with it being homecoming and a chance to knock off a ranked, undefeated team there would be a lot of people there.

Mhmm. Miami has the same issue - crowd doesn't fully arrive till 2nd quarter's start, except for super-big games / sellouts. Even then it's not full till 1/2 through 1st quarter usually.
