RE: Southern Miss @ North Texas: Game Thread
Congratulations Southern Miss. You were certainly the better team.
The crowd at the game was better than I expected. Our play was not. Our D-line can't get pressure on QBs. Harris is the only receiver that we can trust to catch the ball. Our DBs get torched on deep balls. None of our QBs are ready to compete at the FBS level. And, our special teams are easily tricked. I hate to say it, but North Texas is a mess, and I don't know if we will win another game this season.
The fact UNT was able to stay in the game, isn't a good sign for Southern Miss.

I just watched the game. I think the game was evenly matched.. UNT has a QB that will be a force to reckon with in a year.. Good game Green Mean.

We'll be fine. We are steadily improving, which is all we ask at this stage. Solid tackling and very few dropped passes. With that combo all season we might have 5 wins by now

Yeah, I was glad he came back in the game. I was afraid he'd broken his collarbone when he went out hurt. You need improved O-line play and less drops. We understand, as we are just starting to turn those corners.

Um ... you mean McNulty? He's a junior who has only started when there's been no one else. He knows the system and he doesn't make huge mistakes. However, he's very limited physically. He throws plenty of ducks and can't break a pane of glass. He was fortunate not to throw a couple of pics. If McNulty is starting next year then something has gone very wrong.

RE: Southern Miss @ North Texas: Game Thread
Immediately after reminding the two posters in question of a simple easy to follow rule they both had some extremely choice words and one had a not so thinly veiled threat.
They're both taking a couple of days off. As a reminder, discussing moderation issues on the public board is also a violation of the AUP.

I just logged on and saw them both banned.. I didn't know who had banned them.. I didn't feel like digging through 19 pages.. You gotta realize it's football these guys are passionate.. Again I've seen waaaay worse elsewhere that's been overlooked.

1) It's not a permanent ban in either case.
2) As soon as I simply reminded them of the rules, they both deliberately violated the same rule in a much more blatant way.
3) If you'd like to continue this conversation over pm, I'd be happy to hear you out, but I'll say no more on the matter on the public board.

I got nothing to hide from my USM or C-USA brethren. I think it was an open and honest question, and since I didn't know the mod, I figured I'd ask it in the open.
I didn't know Buford T. Justice was a mod here these days.

It was an honest question and I gave you an honest answer, but as I've already stated discussing moderation issues on the public board is a violation of the AUP which is why this conversation is over. If you'd like to continue the conversation I welcome your questions/comments/concerns in private in accordance with the AUP.
