Yes, I pointed that out in my household. Real pirates were not the romanticized caricatures seen in Disney movies.

I think I can still wear my Al Jolson costume. It'll be ok.

It kills me how is that the BET channel exists yet everyone gets all up in arms when someone goes black face.

So glad that people are telling other people how to dress, what to think, how to act, what to say, etc.
Just too hard to do without all the help.

Oh goodness, it should already be known why BET was created in the first place. That it may be outdated is another thing but it exist for the same reason Historically Black Colleges and Universities do.
