Did Troy just manage to take a safety on a fumble recovery?

if this is called a TD it erases an idiotic play by the Troy defender.

Blows my mind that in FBS football, they don't have a goal line camera for situations like that
even worse is, Beathard was open in the corner and Lamb threw it to McGuire

The league has their own replay system that includes a goal line camera. ESPN3 does not have access to one.

Looked like he scored a TD from the replays they did show. Still got 2 points out of that weird turn of events.

Just a typical game this year. plays that you have never seen
and never will again, and penalties you have never seen, and
most have never heard of.
Now if our defense doesn't just fall down in the 2nd half.
Wonder if we will change cleats since we seem to be running
on glass.
26-14 with a possible TD, fumble, recovery and safety all in one play.

I think the dozen Troy posters are the faithful in attendance today.

From the original shot, I don't think he got in. Using the shadow of the sun is the most ridiculous replay idea I have ever heard, your shadow depends on which way the Sun is facing. Surely these guys have heard of a 5:00 shadow.

Yeah I laughed at that.....reminded me of a girl I dated who got lost and when I called here she said the moon was on her left when I asked her to give me a landmark she was close to.

The App radio broadcast is reporting that Troy wears special cleats for their awful turf (my words not theirs). That's one way to get a home field advantage I guess...

The only reason I cite a shadow is that the shadow of the ball extends beyond the shadow of the goal line referee by about a half yard. Flimsy evidence, I know.

I had a girl like that once. Took a few of her friends to Memphis one night to be a designated driver. The Jonesboro to Memphis drive is incredibly easy, but if you miss the easy very lit turn, its 10 miles to the next exit, meaning a 20 plus minute delay.

About 2:00am I get a phone call. After 5 minutes of getting her to explain where she is, she reads the next sign to me. It said "Welcome to Missouri" She had managed to miss her exit by 40 miles.

I switched over to the Western Carolina v. Mercer game and a Mercer player absolutely flattened a Catamount player on a punt. I swear the WCU player has whiplash after that hit.

How far off can the shadow be when the ball is two feet from the ground? For the ball not to have broken the plane it , the sun, would've had to be resting top of the field goal.
