Rob Ash was coach of Drake through 2006. He was at Drake for more than a decade then he took the HC job at Montana where he has won the league title three out of seven years.

If Creighton is unsuccessful at EMU it is likely because of EMU, not because of Creighton. This is a tough place to be successful. We've had guys who could coach and they didn't last.

Drake is "technically" D-I but for all intents and purposes they're D3. Which is fine. Creighton could end up a great coach. Dave Doeren won 2 MAC titles at NIU and he played and coached at Drake.

BobW, keep your eye on that program. They can be a MAC-feeder type program: "Getting the most out of the least resources."

I will tell you this-and everyone in Iowa would agree. Northern Iowa coach Mark Farley is a much better coach and far more respected than Chris Creighton. He has built UNI into a perennial contender and they average 15-20,000 in the UNI-Dome.

If the MAC was smart they would get Northern Iowa in the conference.

Expansion ain't happening again for quite a while. We already signed that big deal with ESPN. This is pretty much how the conference will look for a long time (sans UMass).
