He is a true soph, and that is where the big step usually comes. Since he came on strong late in the year, you figure he was rising to the occasion.

Steve has always spoken highly of his skills. He was an outstanding rebounder and good inside scorer in high school. It would be great if he matures into a solid SBC player.

I always hesitate to use figures of speech like that, because I do not keep up much with current slang, and sometimes things take on a popular meaning totally apart from the basic meaning of the word. For example, not too many years ago a "bull" would have been a policeman.

Hill is the baby of this team. True sophomore. Everyone else is at least a redshirt soph.
