It would not surprise me if they won the Coastal and Mike London saves his job...

I think London has already saved his job barring a complete collapse. This division is setting up for another Duke win. UVA's schedule is too tough down the stretch

RE: So Virginia is in the lead in the Coastal division??
When looking at the bottom 3 teams left on the schedules of UVa, GT, Pitt and Duke, let's assume all four of the division's top teams win those games, but lose to all other conference opponents left on their schedule. If so, then all would have 3 conference losses and have a four-way tie for first place in the division.
Of course nothing is likely to go by what the standings predict but if we assume it holds then the head to head matchups among the top four teams are the most significant to determine the coastal winner.
That means this coming week it's the winner of UVa vs Duke and then Gt vs Pitt the following week. Depending on how those two games go then will could make two games on Nov 1 really significant: UVa vs GT and Duke vs Pitt.

i could be way off on this, but i can't help but think that VT would be undefeated had they hired ANYONE other than Loeffler as OC.

I actually believe this too. I hold Beamer accountable for such a poor choice.

I think beating us Saved his job04-chairshot.....at least for another year or two.

Now the more wins the more secure his position becomes.

Yeah, that hiring was a headscratcher considering how he flopped at Auburn. If you can't do better than dead last in the SEC in total offense with the amount of talent Auburn had in 2012 what did they expect him to do at VT?

Loffler is the Larry Fedora of coordinators. Both are living off of a great 2011 season that covers up for a ton of mediocrity before and since.

I am starting to believe you on the Larry Fedora front. The changing QB crap for no reason, not firing Koenning already. The only good thing is we finally beat GT. [/b]

I think getting caught hazing the walk-on, on top of other internal changes with the players' schedules are also an adjustment dragging down UNC this season.

Yet, they still have their destiny in their hands pretty much. And if Fedora keeps beating the wolfies, he can stick around!

If beating us is your only metric of success then that's a poor metric.

If we beat FSU this year I will obviously be thrilled. I will also be extremely upset with Al Golden for screwing up the rest of the year before that game. That said I don't think we'll have a real good chance to win the Coastal... *sigh*

There's a pretty decent chance that both those teams will come into that game needing a win to become bowl eligible. That will sure make things interesting. It could even mean a sellout at Kenan Stadium.

The AFAM teacher also counts attendance at UNC football games. You don't actually have to show up to get a sellout.
