or maybe not - he just doesn't want to admit that the can of worms that his party opened may well come back to bite them in the ass. Now they are worried and have to play the fear card to try to get out the vote.

Gee, what HUGE, impactful legislation was passed solely by democrats using this 'little known procedure' that the dems passed and were giddy about? Hmmmmm....... Just like the party symbol, Reich is a *******.

RECONCILIATION = Brought back by the Democrats because bad government requiring
60% votes was just not bad enough.

There is a certain threshold of hypocrisy that you pass and find yourself in the realm of the and embarrassing nonsense.

To me this shows a basic difference in the average righty and the average lefty.

Granted I'm generalizing here, but....

I think the average right winger voter is extremely uncomfortable with doing something this blatantly dishonest and hypocritical. Even if it could fool a lot of people into voting for your side, its just disgusting and not the way they want to win elections. Its not worth the victory to spit in the face and the spirit of democracy in such a manner.

But I think the average left wing voter has so convinced themselves (thru a generation of hateful propaganda) that the right wing is just evil, racist, bigoted, ect to the core that "win by any means neccisary" is not only justified, ITS AN ABSOLUTE MUST. They feel they have to save every decent American from the right wing by doing "whatever it takes".

RE: Maybe he's got a faulty memory
I just believe anything divided 49% to 51% is too close to pass legislation.
Change just for change sake is not progress, and yes I know that's how we
elect our politicians, but maybe they shouldn't win with a simple majority either.
Maybe then we would get some with enough of their own convictions to make
a difference, instead of sayings what they need to say to get elected.

If 51% of the population decides to reenact slavery?...does that make slavery right?
