I can't find the thread on where Grimes stumbled for 40 ... painful .... awkward seconds dodging the question of whether or not she voted for Obama. But apparently she was asked AGAIN .... and AGAIN refused to answer. She went instead with she wants to defend the Constitutional right (in Kentucky) of a secret ballot box. Now that's a cheap and shallow dodge. But it becomes unforgivable when you realize that Grimes is FOR CARD CHECK. She wants PUBLIC counting of all union ballots. Holy giant avalanche of painful hypocrisy Batman!

Who said the GOP was the only party lobbing out giant bags of fail to run against bad incumbents. Grimes is the Democratic Sharron Angle. Good lord.

Partially just "meh" ... and partially because she has the exact same look (dress, hair, THE WORKS) that a lot of legit full blown bi-polar crazies in the South Carolina GOP have. The real "power women" within the SCGOP (whether that power is real or illusory) are dopplegangers of that look. I was far deeper into the belly of the political beast than maybe anybody else on this forum. Possible exception to techfan4. I have good stories, but I don't share them THIS publicly.

I never felt a womans politics mattered at all unless I was trying to have a relationship with her beyond sex.

Its not like I'm overstating the matter or saying she is Ms Universe.

My favorite Grimes faux pas is how she proclaims to be pro-coal. Recently one of her staffers was caught on video telling some Democratic supporters that coal will be "f*cked" once Grimes gets in office.

Word has been the last few weeks that those coal comments may be what sinks her.

She ran ads about Mitch getting 6 raises in 30 years. Guess What, All Senators got Them.She complained about Him being a Millionaire. His Wife inherited that. Her Family are also multi Millionaires mostly gotten from underhanded contract dealing with the catering service.
She has talked about Republican War on Women while Her own Fathers resturant Hugh Jass Burgers has many derogatory burger names implied towards Female members of His family. See above link.

Not answering whether or not she voted for Obama was one of the most ridiculous things I have seen in politics. Obviously she did or she would have said "no." It's not a hard question, the answer is "Yes, because I thought he was the best of the options, but I disagree with him on x, y and z." Or hell, just "yes, but lets talk about issues that are important to Kentuckians." Living in Cincinnati we are subjected to these terrible adds both sides are running. Just an awful campaign all around.

Yep. Fox News had a special last night called "American Payday - The Big Squeeze" that provided a deep look into this issue. They showed a coal town in KY that has essentially been wiped off the map. People that had good, middle class jobs, making $100k/year, now living on $300/month for a family of 4.

Not to mention all the Project Veritas stuff. Lie, cheat, scratch, claw. Say whatever you have to say to get elected, then take a knife, and bury it deep into the back of those that put you there. All to rape and pillage an industry in the name of trendy, faux-science. It's sad, and the "progressives" behind it are downright demonic.

She's now running an ad now with some Guy that had 38 years with a tire MFG company (that can draw a pension and SS) complaining about His job being shipped to Mexico because of a McConnell vote. He can Thank Grimes Pal, Bill Clinton for signing NAFTA. She claims She is a Tried and True Clinton Democrat so She is also a NAFTA believer.

This is what is so odd and leads to legitimate questions about her competency. If she can't handle a relatively easy question any better than she did how is she possibly equipped to do the job?

Of course, some people might still prefer an incompetent turd sandwich to the giant douche, regardless of his competency levels.

If you knew the family she comes from (especially her dad), you'd understand that your intuition about her is spot on. Except in Kentucky, it's not the GOP crazies. It's the look/manner of the Democratic "power women".
