JJ, I've been signed up now for a couple of weeks, you still buying? Or is that offer just for the newbies? Just kidding as I am looking forward to seeing everyone again. Heck, the way I see it, I owe you a beer as you provided your home the last time we got together.

I should send you a check to pay for the drinks that I will not be consuming in Charlotte... You and Sam will need more than a few to filter all the BS that is going to be spouted out of the mouths of your distinguished guests. I love you like a brother JJ!

JJ, would I be out of place if I brought my age 13 daughter along with the wife and myself to the gig on Friday night? We've been trying to expose her to such events as this. But, if it wouldn't be appropriate, then we'll leave her home.

I didn't see it in the link - What time is the Friday night event? Driving down from Richmond and am hoping to make it in time.

I will be working in Charlotte the following week and this event should get my trip started in good fashion.

Just for planning purposes, how long does it take to get from the Southpark area to Charlotte's campus? Suggested route?

If Dukeman is anything in person like he is on this board can somebody please take a video if they have a Q/A? That would be gold.

RE: Charlotte Events next weekend!
I spoke to the ticket office last Tuesday and they said they were supposed to be put i the mail on that Wednesday 10/15

I am in Durham after the older daughters nuptials yesterday (JMU Class of 2010) and I am hoping when I get home today they will be in the mail.

If not, will be calling the ticket office tomorrow!!

So, I have paid the $17 for parking in the purple deck at charlotte. Here's the tailgating policy:

http://legal.uncc.edu/sites/legal.uncc.e...gating.pdf

Says no glass containers. I wonder if okay if you pour into a solo cup or should I play it safe and take canned beer.

Being that the school is within almost walking distance from my home, I went out there last year and dropped in on some tailgating action. It's a friendly atmosphere, much like ours. I just despise that every game is at noon.

To answer, your question, solo cups will be fine. They are just trying to keep from having broken glass around the area. I did see a few kegs.

Be sure to drive through their campus. You will find that its definitely not a commuter school any longer. Actually, its much less of a commuter school than NC State. The area of the stadium had no buildings until about 15 years ago. It would be similar to going to JMU for a basketball game and never seeing the bluestone part of our campus. Though, their campus isn't divided, but has two distinct entrances, from 49 (the old) and from 29(the new), with the campus between the two.

Should be fine with the solo cups. Campus police are easy going as long as no one is obnoxious.

I used to think Dukeman was an ODU poster in disguise but my new theory is Dukeman is multiple posters on this board (the few claiming to know him) who log in with that screen name to rant (hence the one sided posts/conversations). Dukeman is the Hyde to their Jekyll.
