Where does your school recruit for football?
A post in another thread made me curious about the makeup of ECU's football team so I looked at the roster to see where our players came from. I found:

NC 72
SC 13
VA 11
GA 8
FL 7
DC 2
TX 2
AZ 1
CA 1
DE 1
MD 1
MO 1
OH 1

What does your schools team look like? HINT: Use ctrl+f

Of course I could look it up myself but I'm too lazy...

That has to be one of the most local teams anywhere.

The last few years, UCF has gotten most of their recruits from GA.

"Recruit"? As a UConn fan, I don't understand the meaning of this word when it comes to the sport of football.

HS Football in the Northeast isn't very good. It has got to be hard for those schools to be successful with local players.

RE: Where does your school recruit for football?
I'm pretty sure NJ produces a lot of good recruits. I'd imagine most of the NE schools heavily recruit there.

Going to have a small class this year but so far it's...

2015:
NC 2
VA 2
GA 2
SC 2
OK 1
FL 1

2016:

DC 1

NJ is the most densely populated state in the US, right? I'd hope they put out some good talent based on sheer #'s alone.

But overall, Northeastern US High School football is subpar. Bunch of private catholic schools with Italian QB's.

Very true. However, we were recruiting well under Edsall back in the Big East. The problem was Pasqualoni. He killed everything. In time, Diaco will get recruits to come to UConn again. However, I am guessing that next year will be a slightly ugly season for us with Pasqualoni's recruits still there as well (not as bad a season as this year, though - we are unwatchable this year).

ECU will DISMANTLE us next week. I expect that to get ugly fast.
