I think I watch just about all of the comedies on CBS. Plus Hawaii Five O, CSI, and the Mentalist. I like the new show Scorpion too.

That's what Apple TV/Roku/Netflix/Xbox One/PS4/etc. are for. As welllas HDMI cords that connect your computer to your 80-inch 4K TV.

Just because they can be watched on the computer doesn't mean they can ONLY be watched on the computer.

Two seasons ago I was plugging a laptop into my TV. Worked fine. Now I've got a Roku... it's awesome!!! Same internet content, but it's basically a small device that's aways hooked up. ESPN3 is just another TV channel. All the old content on Netflix, Amazon... it's amazing how much entertainment is now available.

With all of the old content accessible online those people who used to record and archive TV shows on VHS or DVD have got to be feeling like idiots now.

Or more recently getting Terabytes of storage and dowloading 1,000 movies that you could have access to through a streaming service. Wiring up a house with a home entertainment system when everyone is in their bedroom watching what they want on their laptop connected through the wifi.

The age when it was about getting better sound or a better picture into the house is being passed up by customization/personalization. That is why I don't think big screen TVs are driving down stadium attendance. Its a lack of interest in activities that are external to ones own personal life.

I don't know man, CBS has me pretty good. I think there are 7-8 shows on CBS that I watch regularly.

Lol, SciFI has about 14 series I like.

I really wouldn't take to much of what KittonHead says seriously on this matter because he hates cable for whatever reason.

I hate paying for it but I have done cable cutting and it did not work.

I haven't had cable for 5 years or so. I didn't find myself watching it. Keep a Netflix account going when I want to see a movie at home though sometimes that ends being a run to the video box at the local grocery store for a newer release.

I'm more of a news person which I get mostly online through my smartphone cutting out dead time. Music I don't get into with smartphones as I don't like it when I workout but I will listen to it online on my lap top. I like apps to check my brokerage accounts on my smartphone and my bank accounts.

My view might be that the internet and smartphones are a tool to stay abreast of what is going on and personal finances while Cable is about pure entertainment. I find interest in some of the new products like Roku and XBox streaming. I had a friend demonstrate the XBox streaming setup. At the moment I don't have the need for it. By the time I do have a need for it I don't think I will be starting back with a traditional cable package when I can go a la carte and get better services.
