Basketball hasn't started. So how are we to know?

Memphis seems like best bet for balance, but they seem to be on the second tier in both.

Based off of last season for basketball.

Memphis, although UCF and ECU are better in football, and UConn is better in basketball.

UConn. That's how good our basketball team(s) is/are.

The OP says right now. When 3 members of the AAC have never played basketball in the AAC before, I think its best to judge who has the best programs after both seasons have played out.

I say Cincy and Memphis. They are really the only ones that I consider to be good at both sports right now.

2013-14 Basketball
Cincinnati: 15-3
UConn: 12-6
SMU: 12-6
Memphis: 12-6
--------------------
Houston: 8-10
UCF: 4-14
Temple: 4-14
USF: 3-15

2014 Football
Temple: 2-0
UCF: 1-0
Houston: 1-1
Memphis: 1-1
USF: 1-1
------------------
Cincinnati: 0-1
SMU: 0-1
UConn: 0-3

I guess I would go with Memphis right now for being in the top half of both standings. Very little data for football so far this season though.

If we were expanding the time period I would go with UConn and Cincy. Both have played in BCS bowls and are at or near the top of college basketball.

I consider them above average. I think they are underperforming a little right now. We'll see what they do the rest of the year in AAC play.

That's kind of a legitimate argument. A national championship kind of stands out and you could argue negates terrible football.

Is Cincy good at football?

top 15 nationally in win percentage since 05..id say so

and losing to miami ohio state and a decent memphis doesnt make them bad...

and its still midseason...

cincy is the only verified team who is great at both through full seasons the last few years

No it doesn't. Our football is inexcusably terrible. It's completely ruined college football for me at this point.

Thanks East, but I was just kidding. Maybe if we get 2 conference wins :)
