Barely beat one of the lowest ranked teams at home, blown out by #66 at home, blown out by 32, and this is before they beat TXST....
USA Todays composite has them at #98, and watching them Tuesday even that might be a little high. IMO the only thing you could tell for sure was they are not very good, and TxSt is even worse.
GaSo is at #81, and A-State # 58, in their composite rankings.
I'm just curious what the Cajuns did so bad Tuesday night?. Was it the 528 yrds of total offense without our best receiver, Jamal Robinson, getting hurt on the 4th play or was it the Cajun defense holding TXST to 94 yrds rushing. Just wondering what was so bad, I know we still have improving to do, no doubt. That's when the coaches make their money by putting the players in best positions to be successful. They moved the defense around plus our best linebacker is back. Also, our best receiver was back for 4 plays of the game.
these rankings are from before the TXST game.... Hence why I said you guys were ranked too high. Next week's poll will reflect your Tuesday game.
I was responding to Seminole Indian saying that the Cajuns looked bad and TXST even worse. I was asking him what the Cajuns did to look so bad.
Couldn't the Cajun defense have something to do with TXST looking so bad. They didn't look bad against Illinois, not that illinois is great but they should've won that game.
I thought against TXST was the first time we had a balanced attack now that Broadway realizes that not only Jamal Robinson, his favorite receiver because he can just throw the ball in his vicinity and he would catch it, no accuracy required, is the only one who can catch. Now he knows he has to be accurate since Jamal is out for the season.
If I was our coach, I would have Broadway, Elijah McGuire, and Alonzo Harris in at the same time. That would give a defense something to think about since Elijah can catch too.
In one of my earlier post, I was saying how GS is representing the SBC well in their first year and how they were close to being undefeated overall with a 1 point loss to NCST, which they should have won, and a 4 point loss to Georgia Tech.
The addition of GS and Appalachian St. makes the Sun Belt fun again in football. it's too bad there's not enough games for everyone to play each other.
We need to add another team so that the champion is determined on the field and not by having a favorable schedule. Until then, someone will always have an easier connference schedule.
