The guy that's supposedly visiting JMU this weekend is Dondre Griffin, as per a tweet I saw. Perhaps Fraser is coming another weekend in September.

Multiple sources on twitter said that Marquell Fraser and Wes Morgan are visiting this weekend as well. Sounds like JMU MBB is hosting multiple recruits. Weather in the Burg should be nice and they are expecting close to a full house for the Football opener so it should be a good atmosphere for the recruits.

Both are JMU targets. In any event, JMU is looking at guards still, in addition to bigs. Signing period is usually in November and recruits visit leading up to that. Hopefully, JMU adds some quality players. Fraser certainly seems to fit that description based on the teams he's involved with. What I saw with regard to Griffin may have been outdated and I saw nothing specific for Fraser (just a rumor about September visit). Someone is coming this weekend, it would seem.

I did see a tweet regarding Fraser coming this weekend from someone in Canada, where I believe he hails from. Here's a nice write-up on Griffin, who has also drawn some excellent interest.

Kids get 5 official visits and Fraser and Griffin (both heavily recruited) are using one of there official visits on JMU. The MBB staff deserves credit for that- the campus visit is a strength of JMU.

Golden has JMU listed as the last of his five visits, October 2nd weekend.

Grant Golden's first offer was from JMU. He's gotten offers from Richmond, GW and Mason, among others. He's a forward.

First offer, last official visit would appear to bode well for JMU with Golden. I know you usually actively recruit and offer for more open spots than you have but one thing that hasn't been mentioned is with respect to a few of the rising juniors- Satkus and Lukic- would they potentially be on track to graduate early and move on and how long is Dimitre's grad school work? The MBB staff may be recruiting now knowing that they are filling more than 2 spots. Based on what I saw I'd like to see Dimitre stick around as long as he can but you could even out the classes with another spot or two for 16-17 it wouldn't be a bad thing.

Could be that they just hosted Wes Morgan (2017) yesterday- saw that he had a good day at JMU- and they are hosting Fraser and maybe Griffin today.

Brady offered two more players yesterday as per the VC site, including one for 2016.

Looks like the 2016 player, Zach Hollywood, made an official visit yesterday and was offerred. I've seen him listed as anywhere from 6-7 to 6-9 and a stretch 4. Youngstown has also offered.

The 2017 offer is to a DMV SG from Bowie MD, Quinton Drayton, he's an AAU teammate of another 2017 recruit (PG Jamir Moultrie)

Hollywood's Dad played at YSU and he hails from Illinois. He's supposedly known for his shooting. Has been listed as both a small forward and a stretch 4. It seems like he visited this past weekend. No word on those two guards we had speculated about.

Two more visits that I know of this weekend- PG Dondre Griffin and PF Devonnte Holland. Also JMU is among 6 final schools (Towson, Murray State, Providence, Temple, ODU, JMU) for PF JJ Matthews and he will be scheduling an official visit shortly.

There was some confusion about who visited when, but it seems that for 2016 players, this past weekend saw Griffin and Holland and the previous weekend it was Fraser and Hollywood. Holland was the VA 2A player of the year. He averaged about 20 points and close to 17 rebounds. Looks like we're still going to see visits from Grant Golden and J.J. Matthews among 2016 recruits. Not sure if anyone else is coming, but that's at least six guys on official visits for the two final spots.

Matthews hurt his ACL and MCL, and had surgery. He's a good player, but we can't afford to have bigs redshirt next year. I don't think we're taking him at this point.

2016 class seems to be shaping up well, hopefully a successful season this year will lead to a great 2017 class as we have a ton of openings that year.

They value outside shooting and length. They are recruiting a kid for 2017 Wes Morgan who is slender but has good shooting skills and height for his position as well.

Don't be surprised if as active as they have been in 2016 with offers/visits if they are filling more than 2 spots- a player or two on the roster could feasibly graduate at the end of this year.
